Holiday Earrings: Etsy Style

Posted on

Since I celebrate Christmas in my house, this post is dedicated to Christmas earrings. Not to say these can’t be worn for other similar holidays (Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, etc.).

I know I do a lot of posts on Etsy, but it’s just such a great place to find unique and beautiful earrings. On to the gallery…

And here are the links for each of the shops they came from:

Happy shopping, everyone!

Guess what?! I got a JOB. That’s why it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Well, that and holiday shopping and such. Anyway, this post features etsy artist (well, technically, artists) betsyandiya.

According to their Etsy page, “Focusing on asymmetry, betsy & iya jewelry inspires confidence, packs attitude, and winks at strangers. Big statement pieces, mixed vintage metals, repurposed hardware, hand-formed findings and pop colors push boundaries and exude sex appeal.”

I love their earrings because they’re interesting pieces without being too artsy. They are also very fashionable with their art deco style and a contemporary twist. And now, on to the gallery…

All ear wires, clasps, and closures are sterling silver and individually hand-formed and fused by the betsy & iya team in their Portland, Oregon shop. Prices range from $17.50 to $59.00.

Etsy Artist: Tiny Galaxies

The holiday season is upon us. What better way to celebrate than to introduce a little sparkle into our earring wardrobe? This post will feature the artist tinygalaxies on Etsy.com.

The artist says in her shop summary, “Tiny Galaxies is full of sparkly handmade resin and fine silver jewelry. Each piece is made individually by me with care. I take the time to make my own shapes, molds, silver components and findings so you can have a very unique piece that can’t be found anywhere else!”

And here’s a small sample of what’s available in her shop:

As you can see, it’s all sparkly. All of these styles are available in multiple colors and prices range from $15 to $47.

Normally I am not drawn to clothing/accessories that are brown, but these wood-carved earrings by Australian artist Sophie Hill are so intricately done that I just had to share them with you all. All of the earrings are handmade by Sophie using Tasmanian Myrtle timber.

These type of earrings are perfect for complimenting darker colors that are often worn during the winter. Each pair is $30.87 + shipping.

Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, so expect several Etsy Artist posts this week 🙂

I should preface this post by saying that I love lace. There’s just something so delicate and pretty about lace.

The artist I’ve chosen to feature in this post is Sarah Louise Walker of Chicago, IL. She loves working with lace to create jewelry and the name of her Etsy shop is Branchbound. Now, on to some samples of her work:

She has a decent-sized collection and is willing to dye the lace to match your tastes. So if you see something you like here, you can probably get it in a different color.

I’m always amazed whenever I find jewelry made from natural materials. Thus, I was absolutely fascinated by these earrings made from wood. While these earrings are made from raw materials, they are also well-crafted and fashionable. It’s no surprise that the creator of these earrings works at an architecture firm.

Each pair of earrings is hand-crafted, which means each pair is unique. The artist says on their site that “each piece is made from fine-cut hardwoods, hand polished with natural linseed oil, and finished with simple gold or silver.” Most of the earrings are under 5 cm tall and less than 2 cm wide.

Unfortunately, these are a limited series and the artist has said he won’t be making anymore after they’re all sold. So, get them while you can! Find his shop here

Fall Is Here, Time for Some Leaves

Posted on

Fall is my favorite season. The colors, the temperature, and brand new school supplies (even though I have graduated from college, haha). And of course, the changing color of the leaves. To celebrate the beginning of fall, I thought I’d post some leaf earrings.

Leaf earrings are great because they can be designed very formal or informal. Even some formal leaf earrings can be worn with casual outfits. Let the leaves fall…

In addition to all of these fabulously stylish earrings, etsy.com has a great boutique called Jeunebugs who specializes in jewelry made from real leaves dipped in gold, silver, or copper. Check out her boutique here.

Etsy.com is a great website where artists can sell their work, no matter what the medium. It also happens to be a great place to find unique jewelry, like earrings 🙂

I was perusing the earrings section at Etsy today and came across this interesting artist. Her name is Taslim van Hattum and she hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. Influenced by Middle Eastern and Islamic culture, Taslim creates hand-painted jewelry with a contemporary edge. And now, for a sample of her work:

She has a lot of stuff available for $30 or less so go check it out! Shop here or learn more about the artist.
