Holiday Earrings: Etsy Style

Posted on

Since I celebrate Christmas in my house, this post is dedicated to Christmas earrings. Not to say these can’t be worn for other similar holidays (Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, etc.).

I know I do a lot of posts on Etsy, but it’s just such a great place to find unique and beautiful earrings. On to the gallery…

And here are the links for each of the shops they came from:

Happy shopping, everyone!

Monet @ Younkers

One of my favorite places to go shopping for jewelry is Younkers (one of the Bon-Ton stores). They have a huge selection and relatively low prices. And when they don’t have low prices, they have a sale. Score!

The brand at Younkers that I have continually bought stuff from is Monet. This line is great because the jewelry is fairly high quality but still affordable. It’s a pretty simple line…not a lot of dangles and glitz. Here’s a small selection of the earrings available on their website:

Etsy Artist: Tiny Galaxies

The holiday season is upon us. What better way to celebrate than to introduce a little sparkle into our earring wardrobe? This post will feature the artist tinygalaxies on Etsy.com.

The artist says in her shop summary, “Tiny Galaxies is full of sparkly handmade resin and fine silver jewelry. Each piece is made individually by me with care. I take the time to make my own shapes, molds, silver components and findings so you can have a very unique piece that can’t be found anywhere else!”

And here’s a small sample of what’s available in her shop:

As you can see, it’s all sparkly. All of these styles are available in multiple colors and prices range from $15 to $47.

daisy fuentes @ Kohls

Kohls has stocked the daisy fuentes line of jewelry and clothing for quite some time now. I would characterize her designs as contemporary and conservative. I like her jewelry line because it’s classic enough to go along with pretty much any outfit. It’s also a pretty affordable line of jewelry, with prices ranging from $14 to $26, although they’re on sale right now at kohls.com.

Soar With Wing Earrings

I saw a pair of wing earrings a long time ago…they were white gold and breathtaking. Little did I know that wing earrings would become a growing fashion trend. Wing earrings are great for the fall because they have that earthy and homey feel to them. Metal wing earrings are also great for holiday parties because they have a funky and fun vibe.

Normally I am not drawn to clothing/accessories that are brown, but these wood-carved earrings by Australian artist Sophie Hill are so intricately done that I just had to share them with you all. All of the earrings are handmade by Sophie using Tasmanian Myrtle timber.

These type of earrings are perfect for complimenting darker colors that are often worn during the winter. Each pair is $30.87 + shipping.

Kenneth Cole @ Younkers

So I had to go to the mall to return two pairs of boots yesterday and the Kenneth Cole jewelry in Younkers (one of the Bon-Ton stores) caught my eye. It’s a fairly classy line, nothing too out there or glamorous. Just the right amount of bling without being too gaudy.

Here is a small selection of earrings that I liked from the line:

I looked at some of the other department store websites and many of those websites carry Kenneth Cole jewelry as well. It’s a fairly moderately priced brand, with earrings ranging in price from $18 to $38.

Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, so expect several Etsy Artist posts this week 🙂

I should preface this post by saying that I love lace. There’s just something so delicate and pretty about lace.

The artist I’ve chosen to feature in this post is Sarah Louise Walker of Chicago, IL. She loves working with lace to create jewelry and the name of her Etsy shop is Branchbound. Now, on to some samples of her work:

She has a decent-sized collection and is willing to dye the lace to match your tastes. So if you see something you like here, you can probably get it in a different color.

Designer Decoration: Monique Péan earrings

I posted a pair of Monique Péan earrings in my geometric earrings post a while back. I love her earrings so much that I thought I would share more of her collection with you all. Now, being the poor college graduate I am, I probably would never buy these unless I came into some excess money somehow. However, they are just too beautiful not to share. Enjoy!

Most of the earrings, if not all, are made with walrus ivory, diamonds, fossilized wooly mammoth, or buffalo horn. So, obviously not exactly PETA friendly, but beautiful nonetheless. These are available at Barneys New York.

“Exclusively In” Jewelry

Posted on

In my undergraduate study, I had to opportunity to attend on-campus events put on my our Indian Students’ Association. Most of the events were for annual celebrations, which means people dressed up in traditional Indian clothing and of course, jewelry! Indian jewelry worn for celebrations is often elaborate and made with gold.

Exclusively. In is a website dedicated to daily private sales on Indian fashions, home decor and travel. The sales are available for a limited time with limited quantities. I think of it as the Indian version of Rue La La. Here’s a brief preview of what’s currently available:

You have to join to see the deals but it’s definitely worth it.
